Description

Easy LaTeX Pro provides a very simple way to display equations or mathematical formulas (typed as TeX or LaTeX code) in your posts. You can customize the colors and sizes of your equations to match your blog's theme.

Live Demo

Want to see it in action? Visit this physics post or try the plugin's admin interface at the live demo site.

Most LaTeX or equation plugins suffer from a few drawbacks:

  1. They require TeX or other packages to be installed on your server.
  2. They offer limited customization for background and text colors.
  3. Changing your theme often requires manual reconfiguration.
  4. They force you to use specific LaTeX input formats ([math]...[/math] or $$...$$), often requiring code edits to change.

This plugin addresses these issues. It is flexible, easy to install, and requires no coding. It is also available in your own language using machine translation powered by Google and Microsoft.

Pro Version

This freely distributed version is actually the full-featured Pro Version. If you find it useful, please consider supporting the author by purchasing it.

Additional Pro features:

  1. Caches formula images to improve page load speed.
  2. Allows vertical alignment tweaks to better match surrounding text.
  3. Option to store images in the database using the WordPress Transients API.

New features and bug fixes will appear first in the Pro version before being included in this public release.

Alternatives

  1. Latex for WordPress by zhiqiang – includes caching and JS-based rendering but lacks intuitive color customization and theme support.
  2. Jetpack – includes LaTeX support, but color matching is difficult.
  3. WP QuickLaTeX – works well, but with a different philosophy.

FAQ

Why are there no FAQs?

Two possible reasons:

  1. Easy LaTeX Pro is so simple and intuitive that nobody has needed to ask.
  2. More likely, it's still new and hasn’t yet attracted many questions.
